The Morning After

Here is a recap of the Journey concert last night:

Jon's ankle is sprained from when he fell down the hill, landing on top of the hot chick in a Def Leopard shirt.

Kristi won the wet t-shirt contest.

Last time I saw Curtis he was wearing my bra and climbing into a random limo. Has anyone seen him since?

Why did I wake up to the tranny mess in the lamay shirt sleeping on my couch?

Heidi & Kurt...WOW! I never expected such R-rated PDA from you!

Laurel looked HOT dancing on stage with the band!

Billy, awesome mixing dude!

Dana, that guy you took home was way too young for you.

Anthony, maybe you can show up next time.

Yes...it was that fun!

More Summer Fun!

We have been busy!
Family day at Corona Del Mar Tide Pools. We left there and went to see Wall E. Not my type of film.
Beautiful View

Hanging out, kayaking and fishing with my sister at the Lake.

Megan made a cake for 4th of July. Cooking is her favorite pastime

Dylan lost a shoe in the lake at a spot where we couldn't reach it. He was not happy

Dancing at the concert in the park. Megan danced front row the entire time. The dance floor was packed (this picture was actually taken before the band started. She was just groovin' to whatever was coming out of the speakers). I was so worried about her little body but she is a die hard concert goer like me! The kids scored blow up guitars, glow in the dark necklaces and foam balls. Mommy got a t-shirt. We met up with 4 other familes and my brother. It was a fun filled and best of all...free night!

Conversation of the week

Yesterday I picked up Megan a few minute early from VBS. Kurt was still singing his rockin' rendition of "Jesus Loves Me This I Know..." when we entered the restroom. While we were in our respective stalls, I started singing the song. This is how the conversation went from there:

Meg: Mooooooooom...STOP singing
Me: You don't like my singing?
Meg: Kurt sings this song so much better than you and I can't hear him when you do that.
Me: So you don't think Kurt would want me to sing on stage with him?
Meg: Moooooooom...STOP! It is already hard enough to hear him over your pee. Stop talking.

Guess she told me didn't she?

Heading Out

The kids and I are heading out for our first trip to the lake this season. I was so excited after packing the car today I wanted to hit the road right away. This is a quick trip. For 7 years we have spent the 4th there with my family. This year, D is walking in the HB parade so we are coming home Thursday night. Not enough time in my opinion but we will be heading up again soon! Only downfall, no Internet access. I will be having withdrawals!

10:18 P.M.

25,000 pictures labeled, archived and scanned over 2 1/2 years. I am officially done. Being that it is summer and there are no sub jobs I find myself down from 3 jobs to one. Anyone hiring??? My nights are free again! I can't believe I finally finished this project. Whew!

My House...

...Is falling apart.

Remember the floors we LOVED? The floors that started this whole Blog experience? This is what they look like now.

The floors were buckling in two places. They guys came to fix it today, to the tune of $1,000. Their saw broke. They are now at Home Depot for over an hour trying to fix their saw. Meanwhile, my dryer broke, to the tune of $250. I sent the kids to Boomers with Daddy so I could pack for the mountains. My house is a disaster and my bank account is low.

I need a vacation!
