My children have decided that unless I am angry (AKA YELLING!) OR have repeated the same request at least 35 times, that they do not need to listen to me.
And FYI...new definition of the word "No" when I say it to my children...
ask me again in a different way and with a slightly different set of options
and again
and again
and again.
Seriously, doesn't "no" mean NO anymore???!!!

"No" hasn't met the traditional definition for years around here. Sorry to hear that the redefinition has hit your house as well. I think my kids just like seeing "evil" mom come out when she finally loses it after the bijillionth "no".
That was our phase last year...if Mom aint yelling than she doesn't really mean it.
I feel your pain.
My kids think that it's time for THEM to scream louder everytime I say No.
