I read what you posted before you changed it....and you have every right to vent. I am with you. I didn't volunteer when we first got here becasue I felt so out of place and didn't feel comfortable...but than I got over myself and said to just do it. I wanted to know my kids friends and let them know that their Mommy wanted to spend any time possible with them. Than last year I was in my last semester of school...working 32 hrs a week...I thought with my schedule I could fit in 1 hr a week per class/kid and it would be perfect. But than my daughters teacher sent home a note saying no one volunteered for classroom parent. I waited it out but still, NO ONE! So I gave in and signed up...and she gave me the names of the Moms (most of whom were stay at home) who just couldn't do it becasue of the pressure but would love to help me maybe for one or two of the activities/parties. Really? I was shocked and appalled. Stay at home Moms who didn't have the time to volunteer. I understood if you had a baby at home but these Moms didn't. So I agree with you 100% on the whining...but you know what. Megan is going to grow up and know that she has the coolest, most supportive Mom and she will even maybe write a poem or book or song about it and it will all be worth it. :)
Ooooh...I wish I read the first draft. But I know how you feel about one more thing to lead/host...whatever...so I can imagine what it said.
I agree with Sarah- Megan is going to love every minute you spent with her. You are such a special mom Gina...and now she gets to show that to all the other little Daisy girls too....
I got caught by Sarah! I couldn't sleep all night thinking about what I had written. In the morning we had no internet access because of the windes so I couldn't delete it for hours! I just vented and got it out of my system and felt better about the whole thing (sort of). Thanks for your support guys! I train on Tuesday. This is way out of my comfort zone. I can't wait for Megan to want to play softball! YES!!!!!

Megan is a lucky girl to have a mom like you.
And the fact that your petals are perky is hilarious.
